Nerium Review and #Giveaway

I have the wonderful chance to review Nerium AD Age Defying Treatment. It helps get rid of wrinkles and lines in you face. I've never tried anything like this out before. I don't use very many products on my face at all. All Nerium products are all natural.

It dramatically improves:
  • Fine lines and wrinkles
  • Discoloration
  • Uneven skin texture
  • Enlarged pores
  • Aging or loose skin

The process is simple:
  1. Wash your face at night. Any standard soap will do.
  2. I patted my face with a towel. It was still damp, but not all the way dry.
  3. Then I applied 3 drops of Nerium.
  4. You start to feel tightening of your face. Just leave it on over night.
  5. You can, but don't have to wash your face in the morning.

It takes 30 days to start seeing results. In 90 days you really see a change. I have to say that I don't have very many wrinkles. I have bags under my eyes from sinuses. I don't think the bags are going anywhere. They've been there since I was a little girl. I do have marks above my eyebrows. Sometimes I get killer headaches, squint, which brought on the lines.

Me without makeup, and before using Nerium:

The lines are hard to see, so here's a closeup:

Here's my forehead after using Nerium for 30 days:

Just to prove I don't always look like a ghost, here I am eyebrow/forehead line free:

Here's a before and after shot from their site:

Sing, Sing a Song Saturday

Sing, Sing a Song Saturday is all about me discovering something that is different to post. I don't want to post things that you and I have more than likely heard before. I want to find something different. It could be from another country, someone singing from the streets of NY, and more.

I'm featuring Manchester Orchestra today. Have you ever heard of them? I have to be honest, I have heard of them, but I have never heard them.

Source
They are an American indie rock band from Atlanta, Georgia. The band started in 2004. I lived in Pine Lake, Georgia, which is just outside Atlanta in 2001. Apparently I missed them.

The band's name is after the English city Manchester, which is where a lot of really good bands are from: The Smiths, Oasis and more.

They've been featured on  a lot of late night shows, and TV shows.

I picked them because I just love the video, and song Simple Math.

The Tale Missing Pants

My kids have to take care of their own clothes. They put them away, put them in the hamper, and when it's time to do laundry they separate things out for me, and put things away when I have everything sorted. Isaak doesn't hang up his own shirts because he's not coordinated enough yet, and isn't tall enough to reach the hangers.

I went to set clothes out for Isaak, and noticed most of his pants were gone. They weren't in his drawers.

I looked in his hamper, and there were most of his pants.

I said, "Isaak why are all of your pants in the hamper?"

He said, "I just don't like putting them away Mom." At least he's honest.

I said, "Well son you're going to still have to put them away. Only you'll have to put them away all at once after I wash them." Little man is going to be doing some laundry this weekend to see what it takes to do it.

I have to say that Isaak is more difficult to punish than Mica is. Taking "things" away doesn't phase him. He'd be happy to find a rock and play with that instead of toys.

We have to be a little creative in our punishments.

Thriverly

I have something new to share with you. It's called Thriverly. It's a free site. What I love about it is that it's not just for parents, it's a site for parents and their children. You go through a series of questions, and your child answers which category they fit into. I learned a lot about Mica through Thriverly.

Thriverly helps you to discover your child's strengths and opens doors to curated activities and videos. They are recommendations based on your child's unique strengths and interests.

Thrively will start recommending activities based off your child’s strengths and interests.

You’ll also see upcoming seasonal activities and the newest activities in your area. I don't know about you, but I'm always on the search to keep my kids occupied, happy, and engaging their little minds.

These are some examples of questions that they have:

Q: It is pretty easy for me to wait my turn, or even let someone go in front of me in line (yes, even in an amusement park).

A: Not very often

Q: If a genie granted me a wish...

A: I would wish to be the President of the United States of America

Q: My friends look to me to be the leader in our group...

A: Always
Q: Which of the following is most true for you?

A: I love to read

Q: Which statement is most true for you?

A: I love to wing with a microphone in front of people and would most likely be the first to pick a song.

The questions really helped me to get to understand my son. I think I'm able to answer many of the questions for him, but some I couldn't. It's a conversation builder between parents and their kids.

In a busy society, full of gadgets, it's important to me to take time out to have a conversation with my kids.

Random Tid Bits

  1. This week has been crazy busy! It's midterm time at my school. Thank goodness the tests can be given over the network. I have a lot less to grade compared to last semester. Still many art students wait to the last minute to turn things in.

I had to laugh last week. One of my students complained a few weeks ago that my class is too much work. I said, "Tell me about it! I have to grade it all." I went on to say that we've tried having the class set up differently, and this way works best. Then last week he did all the classes work in 1 day. I looked at him and said, "Really? It's so much work that you can do 7 weeks of classwork in 1 day?" He smiled and said, "It's just the way I roll." I'm still shaking my head over that one.

  2. The kids are off for their spring break this week to. Did I happen to mention Daddy went down to working part time. He's no longer working Mondays and Tuesdays. It helps when the boys are off of school. He looses his own working time though. He went part time because he wants to step up his freelance work.

  3. I've been shredding papers like a mad woman.

I just have so many papers. Many of which I do not need to keep. I'm so surprised I haven't jammed up our paper shredder this time around. I have 4 bags of shredded paper. Gee whiz!

  4. Isaak went to hang out with a friend Friday night. They took him to see Mr. Peabody in 3D. Mica had a friend over on Sunday. I kept saying, "It's not fair. Mica always gets to do fun things, and I can't." Really? I remember when Mica went through that stage. I wasn't too fond of it then. I'm not too fond of Isaak going through it either. I never get to do anything fun! I'm bored! Life is way too exciting for that kind of talk.

  5. Our area hit big time news again. We're popular this year - not in a good way. Miss Teen Nebraska went to take out her garbage, and never came back. She wasn't wearing appropriate shoes, she didn't have her purse, money, or cell phone on her. There was no sign of a kidnapping. The police thought she had ran away because she had left without telling someone before. My thoughts are, it's better to be safe than sorry. Her parents used social media to spread the word to find her daughter. Because it was so public the FBI got involved. Through her computer they somehow found out she was in Indiana with a boy. It makes me sad that someone would so unhappy to leave their home like this. A long time ago there was a case of a high school boy taking out the trash, and never coming home. We're talking - never! His mom started a nonprofit organization called Project Jason, to help families with missing children.

  6. Anyhow people jumped the gun, they wanted her Miss Teen Nebraska title removed, many think her family messed up for going public about her disappearance, and are saying that the parents must be messed up. The police are holding her in a protective home because she is threatening to run again. While I agree that there may be some family problems, how are we (outsiders) to know what's going on? She could have, had a lot of pressure having a toddler brother that has a rare eating disorder (a protein deficiency), traveling for her oldest brother's martial arts, school, and all the other things she had to do with community service. That's just it, no one knows. I hate that people assume that they know a whole lot about the unknown. They may be right about her family, but they may be wrong to.
If one of your loved ones went missing, the police didn't seem helpful, would you go to social media for help? I know I'd go all out to find one of my boys if they left my home, and I had no clue where they were at. I love them.

Beautiful Hair

I let Isaak mess with my hair last night.

He loves, "To do hair." The kid likes to help in the kitchen to. He also loves collecting rocks, pine cones, building anything with Legos, blocks and more, and crafting. He says he wants to be a builder when he grows up.

When Isaak does my hair it starts out feeling nice, and ends painful, and wet. He wants to put every hair thing I have in. Then he sprays my hair really close, so water runs down my neck. After that he tries brushing my hair after it's all put up with clips and stuff. He loves it though. I end up enduring some pain for him to feel important. He loves making me, "Beautiful" so he says.

Here is my lovely hair:

It was nighttime, so I couldn't get the best photos. It took me 10 minutes to take all the clips out. I just love the big double clips in the back of my hair that are on top of each other.

WW: Frosty the Snowman {Linky}

For Christmas Isaak wanted an alive Frosty the Snowman. I was going to try and Photoshop one to be in our living room, much like the "I caught Santa" ones you see. But there's no alive snowman to pull from. In the end I bought him a gigantic Frosty the snowman that was on sale for $14.

Isaak was a little bummed that he wasn't really alive for him.

This weekend he decided to dress Frosty up.

I said, "See Isaak you made him alive yourself!" Isaak said, "No I didn't Mom. He just has my clothes on."
