Down to Earth Toys

  • I'm on the look out for any giveaways that have art supplies. Mica's super into to drawing and painting now.
  • Art things and Science Kit's are perfect things to get him for his 6th birthday in August.
  • My Baby's Green is hosting a giveaway for Down to Earth Toys. The thing that I thought he'd get into in their $20 and under section is: Their Art Bin. I just think it would be a perfect place to put his art supplies.

Bow Tie

  • This picture of Mica was taken a little while ago. I only took it because he begged me to.
  • I was trying a tux on Isaak that Mica wore for my cousin's wedding a few years ago.
  • Mica found the bow tie, and had to have it on.
  • Yesterday Mica had school pictures. I was helping him pick out a shirt for the pictures.
  • Mica was begging to wear this bow tie! I said, "No!" I mentioned that he could wear his shirt with a printed tie on it. That wasn't what he wanted to wear. He wanted to wear the bow tie. I still wouldn't bend. He didn't look too happy in his school photos. He looks, well I don't know a better way to say it then to just blurt it out, "Constipated."
  • Last night I picked out an outfit and put it on Mica's table. He came out of his room this morning with a grumpy face on. It was a grey t-shirt with a skeleton playing a guitar. He said, "Mom I don't want to wear this shirt! It will scare the girls in my class and my teachers!" I told him to go pick out his own shirt then. I went into his room to see what was taking him so long. He had five shirts on his floor. He was flustered because he didn't know what to pick.
  • This boy is 5 years old. What am I going to do with him? LOL
Tucker Carlson's photo was found here.
Hip cool guy was found here.
  • Maybe I should get him all button down dress shirts with bow ties to match.
  • He'll look like a nerdy republican. Tucker Carlson came to mind.
  • I guess bow ties are hip in New York right now, so maybe he'd be cool like the second photo!

Big Belly Bank

Isaak doesn't have a bank. Well he has a baby one, that doesn't hold very much change. The Easter Bunny leaves change in plastic eggs.

Jumpin Beans has a fun giveaway; to give away a Big Belly Bank!

I know Isaak would like this puppy one!

Wordless Wednesday - Meet "Viro" the Peacock

Mica was obsessed with peacocks the first time we took him to the zoo. Kind of an odd obsession for a boy, but it makes him unique.
One of Mica's newest drawings of peacock named, "Viro". Behind Viro is a white picket fence. He's at the zoo. That is why there are buildings in the picture.
  • When he was three, at preschool he disagreed with the person that was taking him around a farm; that there were in fact peacocks on farms. There are peacocks on some farms, but not on the one that he went to. Aunt Terra was sort of jabbing him in cue to be quiet.
  • I got Mica the Folkmanis Peacock Puppet two Christmas's ago.  His name is, "Viro" and sleeps with Mica every night.
Viro the peacock was Mica's reference for his drawing above.

    Mica's Pirate

    • Like his patch?
    • He has a club foot.
    • A hook hand.
    • The black thing on the bottom of the page is a key to the treasure chest. The chest is just above the key. ;)
    • Of course there is a black sail boat.

    Lunch Anyone?

    • Go Graham Go has a fun giveaway going on right now. It's to win a Packit lunch bag.
    • This lunch bag is cool! Cool in style and the fact that it is an icepack as well.

    • One thing I've noticed with being a parent, whatever my kids are into I'm into as well. Right now both boy's are into robots!
    • A few years ago Mica was into peacocks {odd for a boy, but that's what he liked}. I bought a peacock shirt for myself. I also found a peacock puppet for him. You'll get a chance to meet this puppet and see a peacock drawing that Mica drew for me on my Wordless Wednesday this week. ;)
    • They also liked trains and still do. I've found train shirts that are fun in the past. They have lots of Thomas stuff too.
    • Isaak's into puppies. We've gotten him some puppy things.
    • Now both boy's are into robots. For Easter both boy's are getting some robot things.
    • With Mica starting school in the fall, this robot lunch bag would be a great birthday gift!
