Eleven

  • My Organized Chaos is giving away to one reader a pair of shoes from Eleven. I love this company because they have cute shoes for older kids from ages 3 to 11.
  • I like their shoes Iggy.

SpahettiOs

  • I gave the boys something unhealthy for lunch, SpahettiOs.
  • Mica said, "Mommy this is the BEST soup you've ever made!" He then thanked me for making such a yummy bowl of soup. I've never given my kids SpahettiOs.
  • I told Mica, "Your welcome! I worked really hard making that special soup for you".

Hanging Out With My Sister's Sister Tonight

My Sister Angela and Her Sister Carla

My Sister Terra and Me
My Sister Terra and Me
  • Aunt Angela (my oldest sister) is adopted. She contacted her birth family 6 or more years ago.
  • Her biological mother passed away, and her biological father died a long while ago.
  • Her siblings didn't even know about her when she called to talk to them. They were really accepting of her, which is great!
  • I've only met her biological sister, and she has a lot of other siblings.
  • Tonight I get to meet my sister's, sister's husband. Kind of confusing when you think about it.
  • I'm so glad that something that could of turned out to be a negative situation, is positive for Angela.
  • If I think about it, I'll get a photo of my sister, and her sister together tonight. They look a lot alike.
  • Years ago my parents flew from Nebraska to Oregon to get their baby Angela. They went to make their return flight, and they wouldn't let a newborn on the plane. My parents had to go from Oregon back to Nebraska on a bus with a newborn baby. My mom got her watch stolen along the way. They almost didn't get their money back from the airline. Times have changed.
  • In someways things are better, in someways they are worse.

Embrace Life - Always Wear Your Seatbelt!

Chirping Chicks

  • I played an April Fools joke today, even though April Fools is officially over. Hey Christmas lasts for a few weeks usually, why can't this holiday?
  • Mica and Isaak got these chirping chicks for Easter.
  • I took them into work today, hid them in my computer bag and went into each classroom making these chicks chirp. The students were like, "Where is that coming from?"
  • Another student thought I seriously had live chicks in my computer bag.
  • Oh it was fun!

I Want to Hold Your Hand

  • I originally posted about this over the weekend, along with an Easter event we went to.
  • I decided to make this a post all on it's own.
  • We went to a get together, and this cute little boy that's only seen Isaak once decided to walk around holding Isaak's hand.

Fussy Toddler

  • Isaak's back to waking up in the middle of the night, fussy in the mornings and all evening.
  • Yes...he's cutting some back teeth.
  • Whenever he's not cutting teeth he sleeps through the night.
  • Of course our kids cut one or two at a time, which is unlike cousins Evan and Elijah. They cut 4 or 5 at a time.
  • Tonight Isaak was pointing at the teething medicine saying, "Tee Tee"! He calls teeth, "tees".

Funny Mica

  • Yesterday when the kid's were having the Easter Egg Hunt at Aunt Terra's Mica was passing up many of the eggs.
  • I said, "Mica what are you doing passing up the eggs?" He said, "Mommy I don't care about those so much. Those are the things I want!" He was pointing at the various toys in the yard.
  • Stinker!
  • I don't think he understood that each kid only got one of each toy.
  • He knows how to search for the, "Good Loot"!

Easter Morning

  • The Easter Bunny had a scavenger hunt set up.
  • There were little clues like, "Rub a dub dub, there's a basket in the ________, along with 4 eggs to find and the next clue." Another clue was, "I'm on the back porch, this is where I'm hiding some outside toys, 10 eggs and the next clue." It took Mica awhile to figure out the tub one and he started to go to the front porch instead of the back one. Daddy's son LOL!
  • I only say this because when we go watch movies it takes Daddy awhile to figure out what's going to happen in them. Then when we leave the theater I still fill him in on why it happened the way it did.
  • Mica actually did better with finding eggs last year I think.
  • Isaak got candy all over the floor. We took the candy out of the plastic eggs. Then let him play with the empty eggs.
  • Here the boys are in their new outfits, minus the shorts. It's too cold outside for shorts. If you can't tell, they were not cooperating. The wood chips were a distraction.
I set up my Easter Basket with Lemon Cake Eggs. Usually I make Red Velvet Cake Balls, but I thought Lemon Cake Eggs were more fitting for this time of year.
  • The Lemon Cake Eggs were all gone except for 6 of them after our family event.
  • Great Grandma Kent has Alzheimer's disease. She went up to the Lemon Cake Eggs, picked them up and said, "Oh I wouldn't cook with these."
  • She's so harmless, and says some of the funniest things. I love her!
  • The biggest thing we worry about with her is, her running away. It wouldn't surprise me if she tries going outside naked sometime. She used to put bra on top of bra, and now she won't wear one. It's part of the disease. She left in the middle of the night to go sit in the garage. Great Grandpa Kent realized she was gone out of bed. She was sitting in the backseat of the car waving.
  • Grandpa Spiehs told her that the Nerf dart looked like a tube of lipstick. We all looked over, and she was trying to apply it to her lips.
  • Some of the things Alzheimer's patients go through are scary, but you have to laugh at some things they do. I look at it this way, they revert back in time, like they are a child. I think some of the things my children do are hysterical. I'm just really glad Great Grandma Kent is nice, and not mean.
